Mr. Sam Kay, 79, of 59 Jonathan Joy Circle in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. 

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Holloway Kay; one daughter, Cora Hutchinson of Taylors, SC; one granddaughter, Lucita Claire Kay-Martin; three great grandson, James, Jacob, and Jonah; two step-children, Felicia Colburne and James E. Colburne, Jr.; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kay; six loving nephews, John Hall, Frank Kendrick Kay, Hernandez “Nanz” Kay, Archie Martin, Cornell Martin and Jason Martin; three loving nieces, Wanda Martin, Michelle Martin, and Carrie Alexander; and a host of family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lucille Martin Kay; parents, Horace and Carrosa Morrow Kay; two sisters, Lillian Martin and Georgia Alexander; two brothers, John Hall and Frank Peter Kay; and one niece, Louise Martin.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The family is at the home of his sister-in-law, Bonnie Kay, 1317 Salem Church Road Anderson, SC 29621.
