To the Rev. Mary Paul Mackey & Family, I have been away & just have returned to hear the news of Charles' passing. The right words at this moment are hard so I've found it best to say what is on one's heart. I have met several of your children & knew from minute one what a close & bonded relationship there was between them. They were different & unique in their own right but you knew the blood they shared was deep. There were many things I learned from them & the most important is their love of family, the love & respect for the woman that gave them life which was their Mother, Mary Paul "Pete" Mackey & their love of God. May God wrap His healing hands around this family & with time it will get better. Stay strong & know you have many people praying for you at all times of the day & night. You are not alone & know Charles is celebrating with his family who met him & escorted him through the Pearly Gates where he got to meet Jesus! Amen!

Pat, Charles or Snake, my brother we took a lot of road trips together and every time I called you, all you said was when or what time. I never thought when I seen you 3 weeks ago it would be my last. My heart is full right now of so many different emotions, however I know that God knows a man with a good heart and you truly had one. Charles "Snake" My Prayers are with the Mackey Family during this Heartbreaking time. Charles will truly be missed by us all on the Hill. He was always smiling and always checking to see how things were going. If he didnt say something funny, he would always sing a short song just to make me laugh!! And he never failed to say, Let me know if you need anything!!! Always willing to help out any way he could. And one thing we all know is that he Loved, Loved his Family!!! We all have truly lost not only a Friend, but a Family Member.
