Addie Ruth McGowan Miller, 87, of 957 Keowee Road, passed away on June 23, 2017 at Rainey Hospice.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda R. (Johnny) Martin and Debra D. Baker; sons, Roscoe Miller and Donald Nathaniel (Phyllis) Miller; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. McGowan and Edna Coleman McGowan Harris; one daughter, Beatrice Ann Norman; three sisters, Beatrice Adams, Barbara Lois Harris, and Johnnie Mae Henderson; three brothers, John Davis McGowan, James Parks, and Edward Lee McGowan; and two step-brothers, Homer and James Parks.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
