Ms. Willie Bell Scott was born in Anderson County, on October 19, 1940 and she was called home, from labor to reward, on April 8, 2022. Willie Bell was the daughter of the late Willie Henry Scott and Willie Mae Heard Scott. She was an only child but she enjoyed the love, support, comfort, and protection of her extended family, the members and friends of the Antreville Community and the at-large communities. She was welcomed and made to feel the warmth of being at home, in every home she visited.
Willie Bell was a member of Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal Church. Over the years, she served in the church as a class leader, member of the Homecoming Meal Preparation Committee, member the Pulpit Aid Committee, and a faithful member of Stewardess Board No. 2. She was very willing to do what needed to be done, at Flat Rock, and where ever she could, for the Lord.
Willie Bell attended Cedar Grove Elementary School, in Abbeville County. She was a1959 graduate of J. S. Wright High School, in Abbeville. She retired from Abbeville Manufacturing, after many years of employment. One of the many things that Willie Bell enjoyed was baking cakes.
In addition to her parents, Willie Bell was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George Heard and Beulah Morrison Heard.
Willie Bell Scott leaves a family of cousins and friends to cherish her memories and celebrate her transition to her heavenly home.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
