Willie C. Mattress, Sr.

Mr. Willie C. Mattress, Sr., 73 years of age, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Mattress Smith; three sons, Willie C. (Heather) Mattress, Jr., Terry (Jamie) Mattress, Perry (Terri) Mattress; eight grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Mattress, Viola Mattress, Frances “Reba” (Flenzie) Scott, and Ernestine “Tina” Mattress; brothers, Frank (Mary) Mattress and Harrison (Peggy) Mattress; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.T. and Clarina Harrison Mattress; and three siblings, Shirley Estrich, Margaret Gantt, and Clarence Mattress.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his son, Terry (Jamie) Mattress, 501 Fountainbleu Blvd., Anderson, SC 29625.
