Willie Ellis Jones

Mr. Willie E. Jones, 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House (Hospice of the Upstate).

He was born in Seneca, SC to Will and Lola Walker Jones.  Willie predeceased his wife, Adell Simmons Jones.  Mrs. Jones also passed away on August 31, 2021, later that evening.

He is survived by his daughters, Loretta Turner, Cedalia Thompson, Beverly J. “B.J.” Jones, and Katrina Jones; one son, Osborne Alexander Jones; seventeen grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great grandchildren, and twenty-six great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was also preceded in death by three daughters, Betty Adell Jones Bowman, Barbara Idell Jones, and Atina Jones; six sisters, Alice Jones, Mamie L. Smith, Eva B. Jones, Fannie McGee, Florine Anderson, and Katherine Jones; and four brothers, John Henry Jones, Lawyer Jones, Marcell Jones, and Clarence Jones.

Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A virtual memorial service via Zoom will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.  Please contact the family for additional information.
