Wilhelmena M. Waddell, age 66, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born on April 28,1959 in Aiken, South Carolina.
Wilhelmena retired from the beauty industry as a cosmetologist. Her favorite colors were pink and purple.
She is survived by her son, Phillip L. James of Wichita, KS; her daughter, Jamaica James and her son, Bruce L. Folks both of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by her two loving granddaughters, by way of her son Benjamin, Sequoia Folks and Nevaeh Folks all of Anderson, SC, who both loved and will miss their grandmother deeply. She has family also in Aiken, South Carolina including: three sisters, Bobbie Bing, Eunice Ann Johnson and Ravina McMillan; two brothers, Herman McMillan and James McMillan; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Wilhelmena was preceded in death by her mother, Hermena McMillan; her father, Robert McMillan; her husband, Melvin Waddell; one son, Benjamin L. Folks; one sister, Eartha L. Hayes; and two brothers, Robert McMillan and Jeremiah McMillan.
Wilhelmena Waddell was also loved and will be dearly missed by her spiritual family, whose names are far too many to mention, but in particular the East Anderson Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Anderson,SC, to which she belonged.
