Vergia Virginia (Jones) Hall

Early Friday morning, December 10, 2021, Vergia ‘Virginia’ Jones Hall, age 83 of 15031 Beacon Ridge Drive, Seneca, SC, peacefully transitioned to her forever home and into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Daughter of the late Mattie Jones and the late Leonard Williams, Virginia was born on February 22, 1938, and was raised in a loving home by her mother Mattie Jones Jackson and stepfather Willie S. Jackson.  She was united in marriage to the love of her life, the late Samuel Mack Hall and to this union, five children were born.  

In addition to her husband, mother, father, and stepfather, she was also preceded in death by her brother Sammy Sloan of Long Beach, NY.

Virginia was baptized at an early age and was an active member of Ozion Baptist church until her health began to decline.  Virginia developed a deep and abiding relationship with God and shared His word and His goodness to everyone she met along the way. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1957.  She worked for JP Stevenson until she retired in 2005. 

As shared so eloquently in a post, Virginia was a beautiful woman with the most beautiful and loving eyes. She was a woman of such regal sophistication who was always impeccably dressed and with a smile that made you think she was the holder of great secrets and truths.  She was full of wisdom and if you were blessed to listen, you were blessed with great lessons and historical tidbits that helped you along the way.  Virginia was the epitome of a strong female. When she was widowed in 1982, 4 of her 5 children were still in college. And she stood in his steed with a broken heart; but never, never a shattered heart.  She became the anchor and her strength, bolstered her children and their strength bolstered hers.

Left to cherish her memories are her five children, Stanley Hall (Lisa) of Seneca SC, Hollis Hall (Michelle) of Houston TX, Linda Hall of the home, Terry Hall (Lynn) of Gaffney SC, and Karen Hall of Greer, SC.  Seven grandchildren, Ameilia Hare of Greenville, SC, Samantha Hall Thornton (Michael) of Grand Rapids, MI, Garrett Hall (Tedra) of Houston, TX, Terry Hall, Jr. (Katie) of North Augusta, SC, Bradley Hall of Simpsonville, SC, Christopher Hall of the home, Justin Hall of Simpsonville, SC, and Zackary Hall of Seneca, SC.   Two of her Seven grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher, were raised in the home.  Six great-grandchildren, Stephen Hare, Braxton Hall, Jaxson Hall, Nita Hall, David Thornton, Rylynn Hall, and Anansi Hall.  One brother, Wiley Trimmier of Woodbridge, VA and a host of relatives and friends to carry on her Legacy.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14,  2021 at Seneca Baptist Church.  The interment will follow at Wildwood Memorial Park.
