Mrs. Ullary Ham, the daughter of the late John Henry and Willie Mae Rucker Winn, was born September 22, 1930, in Bowman, GA. She was married to Joseph Ham Sr. at an early age. He preceded her in death in 1971. Ullary resided for more than 30 years in New York City where she dedicated years of her life to taking care of people. After retiring, she returned to South Carolina where she lived her life talking to her family on the phone and enjoying her home.
Ullary departed this life on June 21, 2022, at her home in Anderson, SC. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters, Jo Ann Winn, Ida Mae Winn, Alice W. Norman, and Jerelene W. Williams; six brothers, Dennis Winn, Neal Winn, Fred Winn, Franger Winn, Raymond Winn, and George Winn. Her life will be remembered by her loving family; one daughter, Bessie Mae Ham of Conyers, GA, and two sons, Joseph Ham Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA, and Michael Ham of Riverdale, New York; two brothers, Rev. Joe B. Winn (Betty) of Seneca, SC and John Henry Winn (Jerri) of Wilmington, NC; one granddaughter, Shantavia Hinton (Winfred) of Newnan, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, who she loved dearly.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
