Mr. Timothy Lee Blackmon was born August 19th, 1960 to Reverend Annie R. Blackmon and the late Reverend Lawrence Blackmon. He departed this earth on January 2nd, 2025 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
At an early age he became a member of Athens Baptist Church of Travelers Rest, S.C. He graduated from Carolina High school where he was a part of the chess club and became an avid chess player. Following high school, he joined the United States Army and earned awards in rifle and sharp shooting. He also earned ribbons in army service and overseas service.
Timothy enjoyed discovering new artwork and sketching art of himself and especially of futuristic cars. Timothy also enjoyed antique collecting.
Timothy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Juliana Obie Blackmon; three daughters, Shaida (Joseph) Lemois, Nadia Blackmon and Kayla Blackmon; one grandson; one son, Pierre Blackmon from a previous relationship; his mother, Annie Ruth Blackmon; and one sister, Audria (Kenneth) Massey. He will also be missed by a host relatives.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Blackmon Sr.; two brothers, Lawrence Blackmon, Jr. and Stephen R. Blackmon; and one sister Felicia Burris.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Piedmont. The interment will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
