Thelma Deloris Kennedy, age 75, of 108 Kennedy Street, Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her residence. She was born on November 8, 1950, and was the eldest daughter of the late John Henry Kennedy and the late Annie Laura Kennedy.
Ms. Kennedy was a dedicated and hardworking employee of WestPoint Stevens, where she served faithfully as a weaver for many years. She was also a devoted member of Springfield Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Kennedy was preceded in death by one brother, James Keith Kennedy.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Gregory Kennedy of the home; one daughter, Lauren (Kendrick) Gary of Greenwood, South Carolina; four brothers, Curtis Bell; John (Jeanette) Kennedy of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina; William (Marlene) Kennedy of Iva, South Carolina; and Robert (Cynthia) Kennedy of Greenwood, South Carolina; six sisters, Virginia (John) Glover, Kathleen Banks, Gloria Gray, Connie Wardlaw, Audrey (Jeffrey) Ford, and Dale (Johnny) Gilchrist, all of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina. She is also survived by two grandsons, Jamarion Kennedy and Kendrick Gary II; three granddaughters, Courtney Belcher, ShaSandra Robinson, and Kennedy Gary; three great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 1 nephew reared in the home, Kristie Kennedy, Neddra Banks, Anissa Kennedy, and Marcus Wardlaw, a special cousin Betty Henry, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her life and legacy.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Springfield Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls, SC. The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville, SC. Public viewing Sunday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home (Calhoun Falls).
