Ms. Telfia Tameka "Moont" Johnson, age 40, a native of Anderson, SC was born March 31, 1984. She was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School Class of 2002. She completed her RN training through Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC and received her BSN from the University of SC Upstate in 2024.
She worked for Primsa Hospital in Columbia, SC in the Surgery Department. She was well-loved and respected by her leaders and co-workers. Moont was the founder of JW House of Hope, a program that she started for young girls in grades K-12.
Moont was the cool mom, all the neighborhood kids liked to hang out at her house. No matter where she went she always had someone else's kid or kids with her. She loved doing things for her family, always giving parties, baby showers, surprise birthday parties, etc.
She is survived by her parents Andreka and Herbert Johnson; two daughters, Jonashja White and T’Aja Johnson; two sons Andrew Johnson and Zion Johnson; two sisters, Ani K. Johnson and Sydney A. Johnson; one brother, Herbert M. Johnson Jr.; grandparents, Barbara and Ulysses Ellington; and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and Herbert Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
