Tamaka Williams was born on May 10, 1977, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Valorie Ann Williams Garrett. She peacefully departed this life on April 25, 2026, entering into eternal rest.
Navy blue was one of Tamaka’s favorite colors, symbolizing calmness and tranquility. Like the sky and the sea, it reflected her peaceful spirit and her ability to bring comfort to those around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—she loved music, baking, making candles and soap, and spending time playing games with family and friends.
Tamaka was a member of Renew Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Bryant for 10 years.
Tamaka will be deeply missed by her loving son, Isaac Miller; her caring sister, Veronica Ann Garrett; her devoted nurse aide, Syreeta Jenkins; her aunts, Keisha Williams and Darlene Williams; and a host of extended family members and close friends who will cherish her memory forever.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Izaak Miller.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul." — Psalm 23:1–3
