Sonja Mattress Obituary

Mrs. Sonja E. Nance Mattress, 71, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC.

She is survived by her daughter, Kermia Mattress (Michael) Adams; two sons, Yusef (Andrea) Mattress and Kehinde Garrison; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Neika Delores Garrison; two brothers, Mashon Nance and Booker Terry Nance, Jr.; and a host of relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Mattress; her parents, Booker T. Nance, Sr. and Mattie Berry Nance; and one sister, Carol Yvonne Cabell.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.
