Shakela Lasha Rucker-Campbell was born on December 29, 1985 in Hartwell, GA to Teresa G. Rucker and Leonard Rucker. Shakela entered her eternal rest on March 21, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital surrounded in love by family.
Shakela attended Westside High School. She later began working at ILPEA Industries, where she gained many friends. Shakela loved decorating for events, doing arts & crafts, growing plants, listening to good music, playing scratch offs with her husband and most of all spending time with her loved ones.
Shakela leaves behind to celebrate her life, husband Eddie Campbell; daughter Tytauna Campbell; sons Tyheem Rucker and Tyquan Rucker; stepson Josiah Scott; grandson Tyshawn Rucker; mother Teresa Rucker; father Leonard Rucker; father-in-law Eddie Gaines; siblings Pamela Rucker, Demarcus Mayfield, Andre Mayfield, and Dedrick Mayfield (Shaquana) all of Anderson, SC, Jaqueline Rucker and Shaquala Rucker both of Georgia; paternal grandmother Myrtle Hunt; maternal grandfather Marion Barnett; along with a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Shakela was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Carolyn Jean Geter Fuller; mother-in-law Seretha Curry; paternal grandfather Norman Rucker; and sister-in-law Natasha Curry.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her mother, 143 Lemans Drive, Anderson, SC.
