Sammie Maxwell, Sr.

Mr. Sammie Jo "Bo" Maxwell, Sr. was born in Lavonia County, Georgia on October 10, 1941 to Ruby Nell Brown Maxwell and J.C. Maxwell.  He passed away on July 29, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Sandra Shanta Estrich; two sons, Sammie Maxwell, Jr. (Barbara) and Christopher Runsta Maxwell; five grandchildren, Jaquille Estrich, Jalena Estrich, Jakenia Estrich, Jarissa Estrich, and Michael Maxwell; one sister, Ellen D. Murphy; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mae "Tootsie" Maxwell; parents; sisters, Patricia A. Clinkscales, Mary S. Maxwell, Avie N. Whitney, and Bonnie Clinkscales; and brothers, Bobby J. Maxwell, Jr., William Maxwell, James Maxwell, and Billy Maxwell.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Westview Cemetery.  Public viewing Saturday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Sandra Shanta Estrich, 212 E. Pinedale Road, Anderson, SC.
