Ms. Rosetta Brown was born on August 28, 1960. On Friday morning, November 10, 2023, before the sun was to rise in the east, the lord in His great wisdom dispatched an angel quietly to peacefully escort Rosetta Brown of 109 Walker Street, Clemson, SC to her heavenly home.
She was the daughter of the late Furman and Gwendolyn E. Brown. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, in Townville, SC, and a graduate of Daniel High School. During her lifetime, Rosetta compassionately served as a caregiver, devoting her time and heart to enhancing the lives of others throughout the community. She had a passion for cooking as the owner of “A Taste of Elegance” catering company where she was best known for her cornbread dressing. To know Rosetta was to love
her. She always had a smile on her face and a WILLINGNESS to HELP anyone.
She will be dearly missed by her three sons, Delano Brown of Columbia, SC, Devario Brown (Toot) of Pendelton, SC, and Jamel Brown of Clemson, SC. She was an awesome grandmother to ten grandchildren, Nicori, Lauren, and Teagan Brown of Columbia, SC, Serenity Faith, Bella Elrod, Kaliyah Wilson, and Aydreanna Brown all Seneca, SC, and Kyus, Kali, and Kamryn Cobb of Pendleton SC. she will also be missed by her loving two sisters, Frederica (Dr. Norman) Brown of Camden, SC, and Furmella Oglesby (Gary) of Clemson, SC; one brother, Christopher (Michelle) Robinson of Anderson, SC; special godsister, Mrs. Mary Ann Curry of Seneca, SC; nephews and nieces, Rodriquez Brown (Choc) of Clemson, SC, Nesha (Tim) Gaskin of Columbia, SC, an exceptional nephew/son and caregiver Fernandez Oglesby of Clemson, SC, Clarissa Zimmerman of Columbia, SC, the daughter she always wanted, Nadia Hallums (Devonte’) of Greer, SC, Aaron (Kristyn) Brown of Kalamazoo, MI, Timothy Brown of Camden, SC, Mykiah Daniels of Greenville, SC, Chris Brown of Seneca, SC, Kristen Robinson of Anderson, SC, her go-to great-nephew, Malik Grate of Pendelton, SC, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her close first cousins, Johnnie Ray, Jo Nathan (Baby), Janet, Lynn, Renee’, and Lamont Greenlee all of Pendleton, SC, and two aunts, Mrs. Amelia McQueen and Gloria Lee both of Covington, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, T.C and Minnie Mae Walker of Clemson, SC and Dock and Janie Donaldson Brown of Pendleton, SC, her favorite aunt, Ruby Mae Greenlee of Pendleton, SC, and uncle Joe Nathan Greenlee.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Clemson United Methodist Church. The interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Townville. Public viewing Thursday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
