Mother Rosalee Brownlee was born on Tuesday, February 25, 1936, in Townville South Carolina. She departed this life on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was the third child of twelve, born to the late Roseziner and Joe Aiken. She was married to the late Harrison Brownlee.
Mother Roselee gave her life to the Lord many years ago. She was a faithful servant and member of Renewed Faith Ministries where she served as the Mother of the church. She worked for many years at The Dutch Oven and was a babysitter to many neighborhood kids.
Mother Roselee was a devoted mother to Seamer Scott, Earl Brownlee (Ossie), Vera Greenlee, Roger Brownlee (Alberta), and Ashley Brownlee who was raised in the home. Bigma, as she was called by all of her grandchildren, was an amazing grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandmother. Her smile, the love she gave, and her laughter will forever warm our hearts. She also leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters, Della Galloway, Roseziner "Sparkle" Peterson, and Odessa Slaughter; one brother, Eugene Aiken (Celeste); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
We are at peace knowing Mother Roselee will be reunited with her parents and siblings again. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Synolia McGee, Mary Ellen McGee, Josephine Simms, and Verdell Williams; three brothers, Joe Aiken, Grayton Aiken, and Henry Aiken; one granddaughter, Lonita Brownlee; and a son-in-law, Noel Scott.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Trumpet In Zion Fellowship Ministries (520 Martha Drive, Anderson, SC). The interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her sister, Odessa Slaughter, 1712 W. Market Street, Anderson, SC.
