Rosa Lee (Brown) Glover

Roselee Brown Glover was born on January 10, 1923 in Abbeville County to the late Lula Wright. She attended historical Pine Grove School, in Abbeville County.  She worked in manufacturing until her retirement in1990. She was called from labor to reward on Friday April 21, 2023, at Anmed Medical Center, in Anderson SC, where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Roselee Brown Glover gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Cypress Chapel A.M.E. Church. Roselee joined Rocky River A.M.E. after her marriage to Solomon Glover. She was married to Solomon Glover for 48 years. To this union 10 children were born. Roselee loved the Lord and her church Rocky River, where she was an active member of the Women’s Missionary Society, Stewardess Board President, and a member of the Womens’s Aide Society.

She will be missed by her family, friends in the Antreville Community and her church family. Her life and loving memories will be cherished by children, Rosa Glenn, Abbeville SC; Elizabeth Holloway, Carsandra Humphrey, Brenda Glover Davis (Wayman), Alesia Lomax (Grady), all of Anderson SC, Murrie Glover and Joe Glover (Shirley) both of Iva, SC, and Carolyn Martin (Dr. Curtis) of Warner Robbins, GA; sisters, Mollie Burton, of Atlanta GA, Edna McCoppin and Mozella Mance, both of Anderson, SC. Roselee is loved and will be missed by her 31 grandchildren,78 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Glover; mother, Lula Wright; sons, James “Slack” Glover (Frances) and John Sammy Glover; son-in-Love, Bobby Glenn; granddaughter, Tracy Glenn; grandson, Lahani Glover. and sisters, Lillie Pearl Evans, Ruth Brownlee, Azalee Owens, and Alice Owens.

Roselee loved the Lord and loved telling her family and friends about the goodness and love of Jesus Christ.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Rocky River A.M.E. Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
