Robert Louis Price

Today we come to celebrate, rejoice, and give thanks for the life of Robert L. Price who was called “Rob” or “Lip” by his family and friends.  He was born on October 21, 1952 to Dorothy Louise Price in Anderson, SC. He departed this life on March 13, 2024.

Rob was the eldest of nine children. Louis Bozeman raised Rob as his own upon marrying Dorothy Louise Price. He graduated from Westside High School in 1970.  After graduating, he joined the Air Force where his occupation was an airplane technician and Rob worked up to the rank of Master Sergeant.  He was once a devoted husband to Diane Calhoun and a caring step-grandfather to Angie whom he helped raise. After leaving the military Robert and Diane later divorced and he went on to enjoy his golden years in Valdosta, GA.  Robert loved meeting new people and inviting them to family events. He also loved fishing and doing handyman work for those in need in his community.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers, Jameson (Cynthia) Bozeman of Los Angeles, California and Jerry Bozeman of Anderson, SC; sisters, Patricia Clayburn and Lynne Bozeman both of Anderson, SC and Debra (Larry) Debose of Cleveland, OH; along with a host of nieces, nephews and many more relatives.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dorothy Bozeman; brothers, Randy and Derrick Bozeman; and one sister, Blanche Clayburn.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Asbury Memorial Baptist Church. The Interment will follow with Military Honors at M. J. "Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Patricia Clayburn, 320 Benjamin St., Anderson, SC 29625.
