Mr. Robert A. Holland, also known as "Hollywood", was born March 16, 1956 in Abbeville, South Carolina. He was the third child of the late James and Solonia Holland.
Hollywood was survived by his siblings, Christine Butler of Calhoun Falls, James (Sarah) Holland of Gainesville, GA, Pamela (Johnnie) Banks of Lincolnton, GA, Sarah Holland of Calhoun Falls, Sylvester Ann Holland of Calhoun Falls, SC, Rickey (Alicia) Holland, Sr. of Gainesville, GA, and Louvenia Hughey of Calhoun Falls, SC; one aunt, Katherine Cade of Calhoun Falls, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
Hollywood's career began in Job Corp, after which he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in the Army for 6 years and later served 4 years in the National Guard.
Hollywood was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He loved being around his family and friends. He was a die-hard Lakers fan and enjoyed discussing his thoughts on politics and current events. He also had a generous spirit and charismatic personality. His kind heart and influence will remain in the lives of all who knew him.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Brownoh A.M.E. Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home (Calhoun Falls location).
