Raphel Gerron Harrison

Raphel Gerron Harrison was born on June 23, 1983 in Anderson, South Carolina to Cassandra Harrison Jones and David Saunders.  He departed this life on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center. 

Gerron never married and didn't have any children of his own, but he did have a long-term relationship with Katika (Danielle) Patterson. He became a loving father figure to her three children Kadasia Patterson, Bernard Bentley, and Markus Young Jr.

Gerron's life included a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members on both his mother and father's sides of his family and through his stepfather. These include his aunt Rosalyn Harrison-Davis (Walter B. Davis) and their children Brianna Davis , Noelle Davis, and Harrison Davis; uncle Kenneth Harrison and his children Cemora (CeeCee) Harrison, Candice Gaul-Wolf (Seth Wolf), and Richard Gaul; uncle Lewis Williams (d) wife Connie Williams (d) and his children Julie Williams, Desiree Williams-Helm (Nate Helm); aunt Hattie Patricia Williams Goss-Hackney (d) (Willie Goss, Jerome Hackney, all deceased) and her children Artavia "Peaches" Goss (d) (Alvin "Mitch" Davis) , Raymond Goss and John Goss; aunt Vanessa Saunders-Eastrich (Charles Eastrich) and her children Dedria Martin (Michael Martin), Shelethia "Bird" Saunders (d), and Latoyia Eastrich (Donta Williford); uncle Kenneth Saunders and his children Kennethia Saunders, Nicole Saunders, Kenneth F. Saunders. Jeremy Hawkins, and Bryson Saunders; uncle Alvin Davis and his child Ashley Davis (d).

Through his father, David N. Saunders Jr., Gerron was blessed with a sister, Eugenia Moore, and brother, Shamon Green. Through his stepfather he was blessed with his beloved extended family members; aunt Tracy Wiley (deceased) and her children Cherish Campbell, ShaPricha Norris, Persephone Norris, Anniya Martin, and Ashanti Martin; aunt Jackie Wiley and her children Shulvaustin Boyd and Stacey Boyd; and uncle James H. Thompson (deceased) and his children James Burns and Kimberly Brownlee.

He was preceded in death by his parents Casandra L. Harrison-Jones and David Saunders Jr., stepfather Will Jones, grandparents Ralph and Rose Mary Williams ­Harrison, and grandparents David N. Saunders Sr. and Frankie Mae Saunders.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.
