Mr. Ranson Tyree Strong, 28, made his triumphant entrance into the world on September 12, 1995 in Anderson, SC to Sebraina Strong Curenton and Cory Dill. He returned back to eternal rest on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Tyree was employed at International Vitamin Corporation (IVC). He was a born athlete who played many sports but was great at the game of basketball, which is why he gained the nickname "Westbrook" by many that he played basketball with. He was also affectionately known as "Ty" by his close family and friends.
Tyree is survived by his mother, Sebraina Strong Curenton (Steve Curenton); father, Cory Darnell Dill; daughter, Courtlynn Taylor Strong; brothers, Sanchez J Oglesby and A. Jamal Strong; Grandparents James and Vinnie R Dill (also known as Papa and Mama); two special aunts Debbie Dotson and Sharon V Dill; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that guided and loved Tyree so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his sister Alyssa Nicole Martin (Tiffany); grandfather, Ranson Strong; great-grandfathers, Henry Barmore and Willie Jones; grandmother, Patricia Ann Strong, and great-grandmothers Gladys Cleveland, Sylvene Jones, Annie Lee Barmore and Annie Lee Strong.
The funeral service for Ranson Tyree Strong will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm in The Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing Sunday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
