We gather today to celebrate the life of Patsy Ann Tucker Winn. Pasty was called home to glory on February 28, 2024 at AnMed Health Medical Center. She was born in Anderson, SC to the late Mamie Tucker and Moses Nance and was married to the late David Winn.
At an early age, Pat joined Mt. Carmel C.M.E. Church and later joined Charity Springs. She attended T.L. Hanna High School and worked at Ryobi for many years.
Pat loved spending time with family and friends. She was the life of the party. She loved to dance and have a good time. Her favorite pastime was watching Cheaters and anything on Lifetime.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Lawanda Winn; three grandchildren, Shabreek Karasia Nisjeah Winn, Shamacus Monteya Galloway, and Sha'Nisjeah Montrice Winn-Galloway; one brother, Mac Arthur Tucker; adopted mother, Annie M. McDowell; adopted siblings, Timothy McDowell and Jade Jaguar; her loving dog, Lena, whom she loved very much; sister-in-law, Vandora Winn; bonus grandkids, Rodriques Thomas, Raeyette Bozeman, Talundra Bozeman, Brandaiysha Gilliard, Jaylen Pressley, Raven Thomas, and Dehlani Alacia "Stank" Price; special nieces, Alicia Price, Deja Robinson, Re Smith, Laganna Pugh Lawrence, Jennifer Cox, Taquelia Winn, Harmony, Janice Thomas, Mary Dean, and Doris Thomas; half-sister, Geneva Watt; special cousins, Angel Timpson and Brenda Samuel; and a host of other family members and close friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Damacus Winn; sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Shelby Edwards, Mamie Lee Tucker, Pearl Tucker, Esther Pugh, and Barbara Dawson; brothers, Johnny Tucker and Thomas Tucker; one niece, Saundra Harris; sister-in-law, Lisa Tucker; adopted brother, Sidney McDowell; and adopted sisters, Sharon McDowell and Cynthia Boseman.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home, 147 Bayhill Circle, Anderson, SC and at the home of her adopted mother, Mrs. Annie McDowell, 113 S. Prevost St., Anderson, SC.
