Norma Dean Rivers, 62, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Lila Doyle Acute Home in Seneca SC. She was born in Beaufort, SC to Wilma Eugene Rivers and Louise Barnes Rivers.
Norma finished her schooling in Anderson, SC and graduated from Westside High School. After graduating from high school, she entered the workforce and worked at Ryobi (formerly Singer Plant) and OP (Plastic Omnium) Plant for the last 29 years.
Norma was known for never meeting a stranger. If she met you, she never forgot you. You can be standing in middle of Central Park, New York or in a shopping mall in Georgia, she would call out your name and wave hello. She could be walking every aisle in Walmart talking to everyone only going into the store for one thing. She was very kind, giving, and had a big heart that matches her big beautiful smile. She was always sharing a meal and the Word of God. Norma deeply loved her family. She always stayed in touch with everyone. Norma's presence will be truly missed by her family, close friends, and anyone who was blessed to know her.
Norma leaves to cherish fond memories to her father, Wilma Eugene Rivers of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Minister Sandra Cannon of Anderson, SC and Marylin Hicks of Beaufort, SC; five brothers, Earl Rivers of El Paso Texas, Albert (Earlean) Rivers of Warsaw, NC, Willie Eugene Rivers of Charlotte, NC, Reverend Roger Lee (Rev. Shawn) Rivers of Elberton, GA and Henry Lee (Pomzella)Singleton, Sr. of Seabrook, SC; her special cousins, Leroy (Valerie) Speaks of Anderson, SC and Lana Nicole Delaney (Charlie) Stor of Maryland; her aunts and uncles, Alice Rebecca Delaney of Bronx, NY; Prophetess Leola Rivers of Beaufort, SC; Rev Gloria (Rev. Bobby) Houston of Beaufort SC; Willie (Marie) Rivers of Yemassee, SC and Leon Rivers of Hampton, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Louise B. Rivers; sister, Naomi Barnes Singleton; brothers, Earnest and Stanley Rivers; and her sister-in-law, Charlene Rivers.
