Mary Thompson Obituary
Mrs. Mary Skelton Thompson, 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Thompson Heard; nine grandchildren (three reared in the home, Mohema (Stanley) Hampton, Felicia Thompson, and Charmayne Thompson); three great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby (Brenda) Skelton; and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlton Thompson; parents, Samuel and Emma Williams Skelton; one son, Sherman "Peter" Thompson; five sisters, Melba Skelton, Eunice Cornell, Stacey Scott, Thelma Fyfe, and Virginia Mitchell; and five brothers, Joe Skelton, Cecil Skelton, Sam Skelton, C Lee Skelton, and Willis Skelton.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Friends may pay their respects and send floral arrangements on Tuesday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Eleanor T. Heard, 1202 Dooley Street Anderson, SC.
