Virginia Bryant was born on May 17, 1938 in Starr, South Carolina to Ulysses Fant, Sr. and Cornelia Banks Fant. She was a lifelong resident of Anderson. She attended New Deal School and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass. She was united in holy matrimony to William "Bill" Bryant on October 10, 1960. Through this union, they were blessed with five children. Virginia peacefully departed this life August 19, 2025.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, William A. Bryant (Marilyn), Cynthia Renee Bryant (Trevor), and Jonathan K. Bryant (Starr); two grandchildren raised in the home, Sancherita D. Kay-Flippen (Aaron) and Shaviouyah T. O. Lee; five other loving grandchildren, LaShunda S. Bryant, Quatavirus A. Bryant, Chassidy S. Bryant, Allen B. Sheppard, and Sharonda L. Bryant; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Ulysses Fant, Jr. (Roberta); two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Bryant; parents, Ulysses Fant, Sr. and Cornelia Banks Fant; two children, Thomas N. Bryant and Norma Y. Bryant; and one grandson, William S. Bryant.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mt. Herman Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
