Marilyn Waynette Brenson, 49, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at her home. She was born in Anderson County, South Carolina to Mattie Ann Massey Brenson and David Brenson. She graduated from T.L. Hanna High School in 1991. After high school, she worked at Skins Hotdogs and later worked at Anderson Independent Mail.
Waynette, as she was affectionately called, was a fighter. She was on dialysis for 19 years. During her spare time, she played with her two dogs, went fishing, played bingo, and loved to play cards. But most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her parents, Ann and David Brenson; a loving friend, LeKesha Jones; two step-children, Kerry and Jaquyae Jones; one sister, Tammy Brown; one brother, Marland Dewayne Brenson (Linda Dempsey); one niece, Marlexis Brenson; one nephew, Tynell Williford; three uncles, L.T. Brenson, Pastor James Massey and David Massey; two aunts, Shirley Dawson and Jannie Massey; special cousins, Maria Hunt, Nelson Hunt, Joe Dawson, Cheryl Dawson, Bennie Massey, Kerry Dawson, Tamekia Dawson, Cedric Dawson, Jannie Valentine, and Kimberly Simpson Wilson; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
