Mrs. Magdalene Davis Williams was born on February 7, 1947, to the late Floyd Davis, Sr. and the late Eliza Frazier Davis. She passed away on April 21, 2025 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Magdalene joined Ebenezer Baptist Church, Anderson, SC at an early age. She graduated from Westside High School in 1963. She worked at JP Stevens Plant and Anderson College before retiring for health reasons. Her hobbies were cooking, growing her plants, making new flower beds, dancing, playing Solitaire on her Kindle and tending to her dogs and cats.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Latasha Clark (Dray); stepdaughter, Sabrina White; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; her siblings, Magnolia Holmes and Floyd Davis (Mary Magdalene) of Chicago, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Albertha Davis McKiver of Douglas, Georgia; and a very special niece, Jennifa Hunter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Davis, Sr. and Eliza Frazier Davis; her husband, Marvin Williams; brothers, Ernest Davis and Ralph Davis; sisters, Bertha Mae Hunter, Betty Ann Lewis and Marjorie Fortson; and her companion for many years, Charles "Popa T" Terry.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
