Honoring the Life Journey of Louis Berry, Sr.
Louis was born in Anderson County, South Carolina to the late Cassie and Janie Berry on June 27, 1941. He was the fourth child of eleven. He departed this life on March 11, 2025.
Louis joined Generostee Baptist Church at an early age. He was a faithful Deacon, a member of the Male Chorus and a member of GBC (Gentlemen by Choice). He graduated from New Deal High School in 1959. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after thirty-five years of dedicated service.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his son, Louis Fidel Berry, Jr.; daughters, Melody Berry and Vanessa Berry (Byron) Brownlee; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; five sisters, Fannie Lou Stephenson, Nellie M. Bryant, Betty Ruth Carson, Julia Berry, and Catherine Robinson; two brothers, Quincy Berry and Thomas Berry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Magnolia Hall Berry; parents, Cassie and Janie Thomas Berry; one sister, Janie Lou Watt; and three brothers, Lawrence Berry, Leodis Berry and K.C. Berry.
The service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Generostee Baptist Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will fellowship with friends after the service in the social hall at the church.
