Lois Hunter Moore

Mrs. Lois Hunter Moore was born in Abbeville, South Carolina on May 30, 1935.  She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Lois graduated from Old Westside High School in 1955.  She was a member of Mt. Carmel C.M.E. Church and a member of the Stewardess Board.  Lois was devoted to working hard and doing what she could for anyone.  She always went the extra mile to take care of others.

She will be missed dearly by her loving daughter, Beverly Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Junior "Pig" Moore; parents, Lucille Hunter and Matthew Sanders; four sisters, Lillie Mae Hunter, Martha Hunter Simien, Annie Florence Calhoun, and Elizabeth Sanders; and four brothers, William Hunter, James Hunter, Cecil Hunter, and Michael Sanders.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Mt. Carmel C.M.E. Church.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Saturday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
