Lawrence Arnold Webb, Sr. was born on April 03, 1943 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late James Herbert Webb and the late Annie Mae Gamble-Webb.
He retired from BASF after being an employee for over 30 years. He was also a member of their Basketball team. He enjoyed playing basketball, cutting grass on his property, and he was very handy. He learned to build additions to his home.
Lawrence was considered one of the world's best fathers according to his children. He always worked hard to provide only the best for them. He leaves cherished memories to his four daughters, Adethea (Jeffrey) Dean, Renee (Robert) Manderville, Claretha (Ernest) Howard, and Demetra Webb; two sons, Lawrence (Shondra) Webb Jr. and Devann Webb; one sister, Juanita Suber; two brothers, Joe Henry (Carrie) Webb and Johnny (Catherine) Webb; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Webb; four sisters, Betty Ruth Webb Brawner, Catherine Webb Wansley, Bobbie Jean Webb, and Johnnie Mae Webb Epps.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The viewing will be held one hour before the funeral service.
The family is at the home, 1905 Amity Road, Belton, SC.
