LaChance Demarion "Chance" Ware was born October 7, 2014 in Anderson, SC to Pamela L. Rucker and Detonio J. Ware. Chance entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Chance was a 5th grader at Whitehall Elementary. He formerly attended Varennes Elementary. He was such a joy to his teachers and peers. He was a very loving, caring, and helpful student amongst his classmates. Chance enjoyed playing Roblox and chatting on the phone for hours with his friends. He had dreams of one day becoming a firefighter, even though he had asthma, this really shows a lot about his character.
Chance leaves to cherish his memories to his mother, Pamela Rucker; siblings, Kylik Rucker and Deshun Ware; maternal grandmother, Teresa Rucker; maternal grandfather, Leonard Rucker; paternal grandmother, Bridgette Freeman; paternal grandfather, Marvin Blassingame; great-grandfather, Marion Barnett; great-grandmother, Geneva Ware; uncles, Demarcus Mayfield, Andre Mayfield, and Dedrick Mayfield; aunt, Brianna Ware; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Detonio Ware; his maternal great-grandmother, Carolyn Geter Fuller; paternal great-grandmother, Annette Blassingame Cade; paternal great-grandfather, Perry Ware; and his aunt, Shakela Rucker-Campbell.
A service to remember the life of LaChance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Asbury Memorial Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
