Kay Frances (Jones) Adams

Kay Frances Adams, affectionately known as ‘Momma”, peacefully passed away on March 29, 2025 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House at the age of 87. She was born on October 9, 1937 in Anderson, SC to the late Larry Willie Jones and late Mary Sylvene Jones.

Ms. Adams was the widow of the late Leon Adams and to this union six children were born.  She was preceded in death by her son Charles M. Jones and her daughter, Tamera D. Adams.  She was also preceded in death by three grandsons Charles Newell, Stevie Jermaine Adams and Jadiahs Maleek Adams Dixon; two sisters Mamie Adams and Bessie Bell; and two brothers Larry Jones and Millard Jones.

She is loved and will be missed by her sons, Stevie Jerome (Leola) Adams and Quincy Lee Adams both of Anderson SC; her daughters, Jacqueline Carol Adams and Mary Diana (Richard) Adams of both Anderson SC; twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Vinnie Ray (James) Dill; a brother, John Patrick Jones; and a host of nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Asbury Memorial Baptist Church. The Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
