Johnny Joe Richardson

Mr. Johnny Joe Richardson, formerly of 1510 Pettigrew Road, in Iva, SC, departed this life on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at his home in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was born to Martha Ann Reed Richardson and the late James Allen Richardson, Sr.

Johnny Joe, aka Dog, left Anderson County years ago to go reside with his older brother, Wallace Richardson in Cleveland.

Johnny Joe leaves to cherish his loving memories to his mother, Martha Ann Richardson of Iva, SC; his son, Shaun Jackson; his daughters, Alfreda Jackson-Lovelist, Patrice Fowler, Taisha Miller, LaTisha Johnson, Brandy Johnson, and Lakyda Jones; his sisters, Elizabeth Richardson, Gladys (Donald) Witcher, Patricia (Donald) Johnson, Marjorie (Larry) Dennis, and Martha Gilliard; brothers, Thomas (Cynthia) Richardson, Leo (Brenda) Richardson, and Kenneth (Janice) Richardson; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Cora Lee Thompson, and his brothers, James, Jr., Willie, Joe Edward, Alvin, Toffice, and Wallace Richardson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
