Johnny Joseph Hunter, Jr.

Mr. Johnny Joseph Hunter, Jr., 62, of 211 Bickford Circle in Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House.

He is survived by his mother, Zenobia Wiley Blanding; one daughter, Torri Gaines; two sons, Christopher Hunter and Bryan Hunter (Ursula); five sisters, Lucinda Austin, Geraldine Hunter, Daisy Smith (Ricky), Angela Willingham, and Vanessa Crosby (Christopher); one "adopted" sister Buffy Smith (Chris); one brother, Waymon Hunter; one stepbrother, Marlon Blanding (Shaun); three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Joseph Hunter Sr. and step-father, James Rufus Blanding.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church (Sandy Springs) with military honors.

Friends may pay their respects and send floral arrangements on Wednesday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his mother, Zenobia Blanding, 808 Shamrock Lane Anderson, SC.
