John Will Payton

John Will Payton, age 77, of 2028 Watkins Road in Anderson, SC (Denver Downs) went to his final resting place on June 18, 2023.

He was born on January 10, 1946 he was born to the late Dorothy Fuller and Bill Payton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Renee Payton; and his grandparents, Lucinda Payton Fair and Jessie Payton; five aunts, Ludie Martin, Judy Sullivan, Mary Robinson, Debbie Payton and Beulah Cowan; and three uncles, Alfie Payton, Jessie Payton and Claudie Payton.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Dorothy Payton; one son, John Boggs; his grandson reared in the home, Rodriquez Payton; common-law wife, Mary Ferguson; a special aunt, Lillie Kay; three special uncles, Leory Payton, Alphonson Payton and William Payton.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 9, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Fairview A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
