John Zia Bahar, 75, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Orlando, Florida.
He was born in Anderson, SC to Nathaniel and Fannie Ruth McIntosh Gray. He graduated from Westside High School in 1960.
He is survived by his wife Kitty Bahar; four daughters, Connie Johnson, Yvette Bahar Muhammad, Nina Bahar Shabazz, and Camile Bahar; one son, Hulon Bahar; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Betty Gray Hill; two brothers, Willie D. Gray and Greg Gray; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frances M. Gray Glover; one brother, Nathaniel Gray, Jr.; and two half-sisters, Teresa Stowers and Mary A. Jackson.
Services will be held in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at North Orlando Seventh Day Adventist. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Anderson, SC from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of his sister, Betty Gray Hill, 212 Rangeview Road Anderson, SC 29626.
