Joe Henry Webb, better known to his family and friends as Bubba, was born on February 4, 1939 in Iva, SC to the late James Herbert Webb and the late Annie Mae Gambrell.
Joe (Bubba) married the love of his life, Carrie Jones on March 25, 1963. After marrying Carrie, he adopted her son Thomas and they went on to have five additional children.
Joe (Bubba) dedicated his life to Jehovah on September 19, 1992. Over 20 years ago, he retired from Child's Vault Company after many years of service. He loved to sing, play the guitar, the harmonica, and was a pretty good pool player. He also could fix anything with a clothes hanger.
Joe was a great husband and father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carrie Webb; two daughters, Marlene Webb and Yasheca Webb; three sons, Thomas Webb, Jonathan (the late Ebonist Webb), and Vincent (Nicki) Webb; one sister, Juanita Suber; one brother, Johnny (Catherine) Webb; seventeen grandchildren, Marcus Webb, Lafayette Galloway, Viviana Harris, Antawan Webb, Xavier Thornton, Yolanda Waston, Fitzgerald Webb, Shunda Webb, Zackary Johnson, Kendra Webb, Savayea Glenn, Latoya Kay, Tawana Pickens, Thomas Pickens, Neikia Miller, Shawn Robinson, and Honesty Patterson; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Webb; two brothers, James Webb and Lawrence Webb; four sisters, Betty Ruth Webb Brawner, Catherine Webb Wansley, Bobbie Jean Webb, and Johnnie Mae Webb Epps.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Airline Road. The interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Public viewing Wednesday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
