Joe Nathan "Baby" Greenlee, Jr.

JOE NATHAN “BABY” GREENLEE, JR., age 71, of 1624 Refuge Road, Pendleton, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Hospice of the Upstate.  He was born on June 9, 1953, to the late Joe Nathan and Ruby Brown Greenlee.

Baby was married to Jennifer Rice Greenlee, and together they had four daughters, three of whom predeceased him.  He received his education in Anderson County School District 4 and was employed by LaFrance Industries and the City of Anderson. He also worked as a concrete finisher.

He is survived by his daughter, Sonya (Richard) Cobb of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Janet Greenlee and Betsy Anderson of Pendleton, SC, and Renea (Nate) Willingham of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Johnny Ray (Deb) Greenlee and Lamont (Chelita) Greenlee of Anderson, SC; one sister-in-law, Patricia Johnson of Pendleton, SC; adopted grandmother, Rosa Coleman; and one granddaughter, Keonna Brock of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Greenlee; daughters, Nicole Greenlee, Kathy Greenlee, and Karen Greenlee; grandson, Tyler Sloan; mother, Ruby Brown Greenlee; father, Joe Nathan Greenlee Sr.; brothers, Roosevelt Greenlee, Windell Greenlee, and Stanley Greenlee; sisters-in-law, Penny Rice and Alicia Rice; brother-in-law, Ray Darren Rice; mother-in-law, Fannie Mae Rice; and father-in-law, Melvin Rice.

The funeral service for Mr. Joe Nathan Greenlee will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
