Jessie Lee Harrison was born on May 30, 1927 in Abbeville, South Carolina to the late James Heard and Clara Harrison. He entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2024. Jessie was preceded in death by his late wife, Alberta Harrison; brothers, George Harrison, L.M. Harrison, L.C. Harrison, John Harrison, James A. Harrison, Thomas Harrison; sisters, Rosa Mae Kessley, Lucille Lightfoot, and Helen Green.
Jessie retired from J.P. Stevenson after thirty-five years of employment. He loved fishing and spending time with family. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Chiefs.
He was a faithful member of Wilson Calvary Baptist Church and loved to speak the gospel to both family and friends. Jessie was a devoted and beloved family man that put the needs of his family before his own desires.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, David Lee Harrison, Sr. (Rachel) of York, SC; one granddaughter, Regina Harrison of Asheville, NC; one grandson, David Lee Harrison II (Auriel) of Charlotte, NC; three great-grandchildren, Ryen Porter, Harrison Weeks, and Harper Harrison; and one sister, Hattie Calm of Virginia; and a host of family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends half an hour before the funeral. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing Saturday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
