Mrs. Janie Ruth Branch Mitchell was born on June 12, 1954 in Sumter, SC. She departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Janie moved to New York City where she worked for NYCTA until she retired. After retiring she moved to Belton, SC.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Edward Mitchell; two brothers, Sammy and Henry Branch; three sisters, Alice Branch Robinson, Edna Branch, and Annie Branch; and a host of relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jannie Ruth Washington.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at New Silverbrook Cemetery. Public viewing 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
