Janice Elaine (Butler) Thompson

Mrs. Janice Elaine Butler Thompson was born in Anderson County, South Carolina to the late Marion and Dorothy Mae Mauldin Butler.  She departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Janice graduated from McDuffie High School and was employed by Singer Company for over twenty years.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her nephew, Maurice D. Greenlee; niece, Carmen Y. Sullivan; a close cousin, Barabara Thomas; four great-nieces and three great-nephews; and a host of relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Thompson and her brother, Tony Marion Butler.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
