Janice Sue (Thompson) Taylor

Mrs. Janice Sue Thompson Taylor, 69, of 108 N. Jefferson Ave Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at her home. Janice was born in Anderson County, SC on March 27, 1952 and is the last descendant of Charlie & Carolyn (Carrie) Thompson. 

Janice attended school in Anderson County and was well known for her baking skills.  She spent many years working in the Bi-lo bakery until her health declined. 

Janice was a faithful member of Wilson Calvary Baptist Church, where she attended with her loving husband.  Janice was united in marriage to John Taylor for 41 years.  John passed away on March 26, 2021.

She leaves behind four sons, Reggie, Jackie (Crystal), Charles Thompson, and Anthony (Adria) Brown; eight grandchildren, Sasha, Tyriesha, Bryanna, Ta’Maya, Ja’Quan, Preston, Braxton, and Jeremiah; one brother-in-law, Jake Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to her husband, Janice was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ethel Dixon and Sylvene Martin; and nine brothers, Connell, Waymond, Charles, Jack, Ithamus, Ralph, and Clinton Thompson.

Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.
