Jamiah Carson Obituary

Jamiah Sentell Carson, affectionately known as "Pooh," was born on August 12, 1992, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Shirley Carson and the late James Curtis Lindsey. On June 22, 2026, Jamiah departed this life in Anderson, South Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

Jamiah was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, where he attended Westside High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 2010. After graduation, he worked at Glen Raven for four years. There, he became known to many as "Biggie" and "Big Papa." His coworkers and friends admired his warm spirit, infectious smile, and the genuine hugs that made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated.

Pooh had a deep love for fishing and found peace and happiness on the water. Whether surrounded by family or friends, fishing was one of his greatest passions and a way he created lasting memories with those he loved.

Above all, Jamiah treasured his family. He was a devoted father to his beloved children, Jarmarion Carson and Jabrayah Carson. He was also a loving godfather who held a special place in the hearts of his godchildren. His smile could brighten any room, and his generous heart knew no limits. Jamiah was the kind of person who would give his last to help someone in need, always putting others before himself.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Shirley Carson; his siblings, Jamel Carson, Demetrius Carson, and twelve other siblings; his children, Jarmarion Carson and Jabrayah Carson; his cherished nieces and nephews, Jamelyunna Carson, Kiyanna Carson, Zavion Watson, J'Cyeon Carson, Kaison Bell, Lanya Bell, and Aburney Woody; his aunts, Mae Lindsey and Jeanette Westfield; his cousins, Brandy Lindsey, Shecquila Lindsey, Nikeya Lindsey, Xavier Gambrel, Corey Reed, Ebony Stowers, Quinterria Owens, and Kenneth Hood; along with a host of extended family members, godchildren, friends, and all who loved him.

Jamiah was preceded in death by his father, James Curtis Lindsey; his uncle, Jesse Lindsey; and his grandmother, Lillie Carson.

Pooh's life was a beautiful reflection of love, compassion, laughter, and generosity. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
