James Keith Norris

We are celebrating the life of James Keith Norris, also know as "Che Che." James resided in Anderson, SC, and passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center. He was born on February 18, 1965, to the late James "Pop" Mattison and Barbara Mattison.

James was a construction worker for several years. He loved listening to music and dancing. He never met a stranger and was a comedian within the family.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories two sons, Clyde Williams of Anderson, SC, and Claudius Williams of Anderson, SC; his mother, Barbara Mattison of Piedmont, SC;  three grandsons, Clyde Allen Williams Jr., Kaiser Adrian Williams, Montana Asher Williams; aunt Mary Lee of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Lesia L. Williams of Greenville SC, Kimmika Mattison of Greenville, SC, and Yolonda Mattison of Piedmont, SC; one brother, Rodney "Fuji" Mattison of Williamston, SC; sister-in-law, April Mattison of Williamston, SC; a very special friend Pam Ela of Anderson, SC; the mother and grandmother of his surviving kids and grandkids, Rena Goode; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

James was preceded in death in death by his father, James "Pop" Mattison, niece Shalesia Mattison, nephew Rodriguez "Rod" Mattison; grandparents Frank Mattison Sr., Louise Thompson Mattison, Ruby Lee Winfield and Joe Norris.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until the time service. The interment will take place at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
