Mr. James R. Hoover was born in Anderson, South Carolina on May 24, 1959. He departed this life on July 7, 2025.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Ramonica Johnson; sons, Lorenzo Strong, Michael Strong, and James Johnson; sisters, Gloria Porter, Nancy Hoover, and Sandra Hoover; brother, Michael Williams; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Barbara Williams Hoover; two sons, Willie Strong and Antonio Strong; one sister, Carolyn Williams; and three brothers, Joseph Hoover, Woodrow Hoover, Nathaniel Hoover.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Ramonica Johnson, 202 Meadow Hill Dr., Anderson, SC 29621.
