Imani Yasmine Sade Clemons affectionately known as “Mon” was born to Khalilah Gray and Omond Clemons on August 16th, 2004. In Anderson, South Carolina at Anderson Memorial Hospital.
From the very beginning of Imani’s journey in life, she was determined to be GREAT at anything she put her mind to. She was our big baby! She didn’t like Barney or things like that...lol. She loved exploring her environment and loved photography. Fashion and music along with Tik Toc were her favorites. She was what you called a “sister-mom“ because she had a natural maternal love about her. She always showered her siblings with love.
Imani was ambitious and definitely a young woman who believed in self-responsibility by working through high school. Imani was a high school senior at T. L. Hanna. Her plan after graduation in 2023 was to attend Florida State University.
Imani represented life and love in our family. She was our family's peace and voice of reason because she was wise beyond her years. Imani had a heart of gold. She would give you anything.
Imani is survived by her mother and father Khalilah Gray and Omond Clemons, her brother, Mesiah Clemons, sisters, Leilani, Justice, and Journey, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a host of family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Shy’Heem Clemons.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Anderson Civic Center. The entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
