Obituary
Hattie Mae Brown Rush was born September 9, 1940 in Pendleton, SC. She was the daughter of the late Bishop Spear and Ezella Brown. She was reared in the home of the late Myrtle Bigby Brown. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
She attended Riverside High School in Pendleton, SC. After graduation, she moved to Brooklyn, NY. She was a dedicated worker in the home health field for over 30 years. She was married to the late Medford Rush for 34 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing, children, Randino (Valerie) Brown of Seneca, SC and Abena Rush of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Anne Knox of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Adriana Brown and Shakeem Brown; great-grandchildren, Queen, Aiden and Dillon; and a host of relatives and close friends.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Mtn. Spring Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
