Harper Jones Obituary

Harper Jones, 84, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2022. He was born in Greenwood, MS on January 2, 1938.

He is survived by his five sons, Darrell Jones, Sr. (Jessica), Jermaine Jones (Robin), Harper Jones (Reglo), Kenyatta Jones (Rose), and Courtney Jones; two daughters, Shirley Jones and Theresa Jones; two sisters, Lillie Lacy and Geneva Morning; two brothers, Leonard Jones and Steward Jones; twenty eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Mattison Jones; his parents, Geneva Wallace Jones and Harper Jones, Sr.; four sisters, Millie Wiley, Dezree Jones Childress, Pearl Griffin and Lenzorna Blackman; and three brothers, Hardy Jones, Jimmy Lee Jones, and Fred Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at The Belton Cemetery.
